How to take care of your wetsuit to make it last longer?
After each use, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and chlorine. Dry it in the shade, in a well-ventilated area, turned inside out, and avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Use a hanger with wide shoulders to prevent stretching the material.
How often should I clean my wetsuit?
The wetsuit should be cleaned after each use, especially if you have been swimming in salt water, a chlorinated pool, or polluted water. Regular cleaning helps prevent the buildup of salt, chlorine, and bacteria, which can weaken the material. If used frequently, it is recommended to deep clean it every 4–6 weeks using special neoprene cleaning products.
Can I iron my wetsuit?
You should not iron your wetsuit, as high temperatures can damage the material.
How to store a wetsuit?
Do not store your wetsuit folded. If necessary, place tissue paper between the layers or use talcum powder to prevent the material from sticking. Hanging it on a wide hanger or laying it flat is a much better option. The suit should be completely dry before storing to prevent moisture buildup. Store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
